Ether

Éther, 2025, Two-channel video installation (projection or LED screens), media player, audio system. Looping video files. Dimensions variable.

Éther is a dual-projection installation.
In a darkened space, two angled screens face each other, each displaying a contemplative video. This work explores the rhythm of living matter through the subtle movements of the sky and of flight. The choice of a double screen creates a visual polarity: on one side, grounding (the tree, the material); on the other, ether (the sky, the flow).

Birds—recurring motif in this project—become here a form of collective memory, a pulse, and the breath of the landscape. The soundscape is subtle, barely perceptible. For the viewer, it is not only a matter of watching, but of sensing a particular temporality: that of waiting, of migration, of inhabited silence. The experience becomes meditative, intimate, and invites a sensitive listening to the void between the images.
